Dr. Weintrub graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He trained in general surgery at Boston University, plastic surgery at McGill University, and completed a fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is also certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. With over 40 years of experience in healthcare, Dr. Weintrub has experience as a surgeon, teacher, consultant, applications developer, and futurist. In the past, he had a completely digital medical office and testified before a federal subcommittee on HIPAA privacy. Moreover, he developed desktop, web, and iPhone applications, such as The Cost Conversation.
While working as the clinical assistant professor at Brown University, Dr. Weintrub trained, advised, and mentored students, including family medicine and plastic surgery residents. He also served on the residency selection committee for plastic surgery. Dr. Weintrub currently leverages his experience to provide MedSchoolCoach students with expert guidance during the medical school application process.
