Bio
Dr. Jung graduated from Brown University PLME (Program in Liberal Medical Education), which is a combined undergraduate-medical degree program. During medical school, he was a Clinical Research Training Program fellow at the National Institutes of Health. He completed his radiation oncology residency in his home state of Michigan at the Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit. Afterward, he pursued a fellowship in stereotactic radiosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Jung serves his alma mater by interviewing high school students applying for undergraduate and PLME medical school admissions at Brown University and is a member of the Brown Club of Orange County. Dr. Jung remains academically active in private practice. He submits research IRB protocols, publishes journal articles, writes textbook chapters, gives lectures, and presents abstracts/posters at meetings. He is a manuscript reviewer for the medical journal: Technology in Cancer Research & Treatment. He continues to mentor medical students and residents during his career. Dr. Jung worked closely with two medical students from Johns Hopkins and Georgetown, who each assisted him with publishing textbook chapters and are now residents at Stanford. He provided guidance as a thesis editor for an orthodontics resident at UCLA who graduated from the combined BS/DDS dental program at NYU. He is currently mentoring a radiation oncology resident at Northwestern University.
