What Students Say

Bio

Danielle was born and raised in the great city of San Francisco, California. She attended UC Berkeley, where she was a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholar and studied molecular and cell biology. While in college, she had the opportunity to compete for the equestrian team. After graduating, she worked at a busy ophthalmology office in San Francisco before matriculating to Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in Michigan.

In medical school, Danielle mentored undergraduate students and tutored medical students. She scored a 252 on Step 1 and 267 on Step 2CK. She graduated AOA after receiving honors in most of her clinical rotations. Danielle completed her preliminary internal medicine year at UCLA Olive View and is currently pursuing a dermatology research fellowship at UCLA. She will be starting her dermatology residency at UC Davis in 2024.

Danielle is passionate about teaching and making complicated topics simple. Her approach to tackling the beast that is Step 1 is to first understand concepts and then tackle the nitty gritty. She believes that any medical student can do well on Step 1 if they have a solid study plan, determination, and resilience.  In her free time, she is a mom to her bernedooodle, Juneau, and enjoys staying active, exploring nature, reading, binging TV shows, and spending quality time with family.
