SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS

Each student selected to receive the scholarship will receive a:

  • Gold MCAT Tutoring Package to boost your MCAT score with one-on-one tutoring from a 99th percentile scorer.
  • Gold Advising Package for complete application support through the entirety of the application process with a physician advisor and writing advisor.

The deadline to apply is Oct 1, 2024.

Winners announced: December 1, 2024.

Duration: Winners will work with MedSchoolCoach tutors and advisors throughout the 2025/26 MCAT and Medical School Admissions cycle.

ELIGIBILITY

The scholarship targets students who are current juniors, seniors, or recent college graduates and who meet the following criteria:

  • Juniors, seniors, or recent college graduates from U.S.-based colleges or universities.
  • GPA of 3.5 or above.
  • Demonstrated extracurricular activities, including leadership, clinical, and research activities, and/or significant family responsibilities.
  • A strong desire to give back to the community.
  • Underrepresented students are highly encouraged to apply.
  • Demonstrated financial need, based on family income and/or previous financial aid eligibility.
  • Applying to the 2025-2026 medical school application cycle.

The scholarship is only offered to U.S. citizens because MedSchoolCoach is a US-based organization. There are fewer legal barriers when offering scholarships or giveaways in an organization’s home country. Opening this scholarship up internationally would mean navigating international laws that differ significantly across countries. Currently, the MedSchoolCoach legal team is not equipped to take on this challenge.

  • Only one entry per person.
  • Applicants must complete all steps of the application process to be considered.

APPLICATION DETAILS

The application includes: (1) basic personal and contact information and a short questionnaire; (2) submission of a resume; (3) a short essay (no more than 500 words); (4) one recommendation. The entirety of the application must be submitted through the application link. Applications submitted in parts to MedSchoolCoach emails will be considered incomplete.

SELECTION OF WINNERS

All responses to the questionnaire must meet the following requirements:

  • Written in English and free of grammatical errors.
  • 500 words or fewer.
  • Original content that does not violate any intellectual property or copyright laws.

Scholarship awardees will be chosen by a selection committee composed of MedSchoolCoach professionals. They will be selected based on the quality of the completed application, questionnaire responses, and video submission. The committee’s decision is final. Winners will be notified via email or phone on or before December 1, 2024.

Acceptance of the award constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use the winners’ names, cities, states, likenesses, voices, or any other information provided about oneself for advertising, promotion, and publicity purposes without additional compensation in any and all media now or hereafter devised, worldwide in perpetuity, without any form of notice, limitation, or any kind or amount of compensation or permission.

For a period of one year after being selected, the recipient of the MedSchoolCoach #MSCScholarship will be required to submit periodic updates on their progress in the form of content that may be shared on the MedSchoolCoach website, ProspectiveDoctor website, or any other distribution channels chosen by MedSchoolCoach. This content could be in the form of a video, a blog, or an interview and will be directed and initiated by the recipient’s contact at MedSchoolCoach.
