Dr. Cornejo earned her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience from Pomona College and attended the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) for medical school. During her time at UCSF, she actively participated in the student admission process, conducting interviews through the PRIME-US program, and mentored numerous premedical students by co-leading a mock interview program. After graduating, she began her emergency medicine residency at Highland Hospital, where she continued to successfully guide and advise students.
In addition to her clinical and mentoring roles, Dr. Cornejo has developed a strong background in communications and a passion for creative and medical writing. While at UCSF, she spearheaded a successful writing workshop for medical students, helping them craft unique narratives for the admissions process. Currently, she is a medical writer and serves as the director of operations for a CME-accredited anti-racism workshop for physicians.
