Paige Hargis was born and raised in a small town in Missouri. She graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou) with a degree in biological sciences and a minor in Spanish. During her time at Mizzou, she helped establish an organization to support first generation college students, actively volunteered in Global Brigades, and participated in basic science research. After graduating, she worked as an orthopedic technician prior to matriculating to the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine. She has continued to participate in research throughout medical school and is president of her school’s Surgery Interest Group. She scored 250 on Step 1 and 259 on Step 2CK. She was elected to AOA honor society during her fourth year of medical school. She is planning to apply to residency in urology and enjoys mentoring and teaching students, always exemplifying a positive attitude. Her hobbies include scuba diving, taking care of her many plants, and traveling with friends.
